Ring signature, Free TON House, Wiki

A ring signature is a type of digital signature that allows one of the anonymous users to sign a document on behalf of an entire group — a ring. At the same time, this user makes a list of members of this group, including himself, and uses their public keys and his private key for signing.

Due to the fact that with this option of signing, it is impossible to de-anonymize the person who signed the document, which means that privacy is preserved, this technology is considered as an alternative to the zK-SNARK technology.

The ring signature mechanism is used in the Monero blockchain.
