    Free TON, NFT Platforms

In the Free TON community, a contest was held to create platforms for working with NFT. We offer you a review of the winners’ works.

Requirements For Contest Works And The Prize Fund

The goal of the NFT marketplace contest is to create an ecosystem in the Free TON community for full-fledged work with NFT.

    Requirements for marketplaces:

    • creation of NFTs based on TIP-3 standard
    • the ability to sell NFTs at a fixed price and via auction
    • the marketplace receives a fee for NFT sales
    • automatic transfer of NFT to the wallet address of the user who sent the required amount for NFT
    • option to cancel sale (before execution)
    • connecting ExtraTON Wallet as a browser extension, other wallets, or solutions from the Free TON wallet as a Chrome extension contest.
    • soft criteria — DeBot full or partial support.

Participants could use a smart contract from the Decentralized Name Service (DeNS) contest to implement the auction mechanism.

The threshold score for the work to be among the winners is 5 points.

    1st place — 150 000 TON Crystals
    2nd place — 120 000 TON Crystals
    3rd place — 100 000 TON Crystals
    4th place — 30 000 TON Crystals
    5th place— 30 000 TON Crystal

All winners (a total of 15 entries were submitted for the contest) receive 30,000 TON immediately after the results of the contest are summarized. For participants who took the first three places, there is the vesting of the remaining amount: in equal shares over six months. They are also obliged to fix all bugs within a month of the end of the contest and maintain the efficiency of their solutions for 6 months.

    First place

The winning submission was #13 with the Grandbazar platform — 8.69 points.

The jury noted the good interface, presentation, and integration of the platform with ExtraTON.

Anyone who tried creating an NFT token on the site agreed everything needed is working. At the same time, during the judging process, the auction function was still being completed, so each judge decided for himself whether to consider the auctions implemented or not.

The development team named their NFT platform in honor of the largest market Grand Bazaar, which is in Istanbul. According to participants, there are over 4,000 stores under the roof of the market, and in 2014 the Grand Bazaar market was recognized as the most visited tourist attraction.

The basic scheme of the platform is that a non-custodial service is created. That is, NFTs are stored in some custom TTWs to which the platform does not have access. And the buying and selling of NFT are done through the platform’s smart contracts. Thus, Grandbazar is an intermediary platform between the NFT seller and the buyer, allowing to create NFT tokens and sell them, but it does not have access permissions to them.

The advantage of the site, which was noted by the jury, is the FAQ section, which helps new users to navigate the platform functionality.

The section describes step-by-step how to open a wallet through the ExtraTON extension, register on the Grandbazar platform, create an NFT, buy and sell it.

Registration on the platform for new users is done using a Google or GitHub account. Next, you need to specify the address of any wallet with TONs, that is, registration is available to all crystal owners.

In the next month, the developers promise to add TON.Surf support on their platform.

    Second place

Submission #8 from Team NiFi and the platform they created scored 7.73 points.

The judges noted that the AMA session with its developers helped navigate the site. The disadvantage was considered the ability to register on the platform only through ExtraTON. At the same time, the jury praised the design and functionality of the platform.

The developers themselves emphasize the platform is integrated with ExtraTON. Users only authorize on the site through the specified extension and only after confirming the operation in ExtraTON the sale of NFT is made.

By the way, with the help of the platform, NFT tickets were created for the Free TON anniversary celebration in May. They were sold via DeBot.

The platform’s ticket creation feature allows to issue any number of tokens and sell them at a fixed price in TON Crystal. The ticket displays information about the event, a QR-code for scanning at the entrance. The platform provides an administrative server to check tickets using a QR code. Soon, the function of issuing tickets for several events and selling them at different prices will become available.

The developers have created their standard of NFT tokens for the platform, which should be suitable for creating all types of NFT. The TIP-3 standard served as the basis for its creation.

In the future, the authors of the platform plan to focus on the creation of NFT art objects, tickets, and voice credentials.

    Third place

The developers of the TONIUM platform with submission #9 received 7.5 points.

Among the advantages are the high-quality presentation and technical documentation of the project. But the fact that the platform only works through ExtraTON, and so far only launched its beta version, affected the score not for the better.

TONIUM is designed as a non-custodial platform that allows you to create, store, sell and buy NFT tokens cheaply and quickly.

The developers point out that the fast-growing NFT market needs platforms that will be built precisely on the blockchain with the PoS consensus algorithm, which is what TONIUM is. Currently, popular platforms work on the PoW principle, which requires a lot of electricity and is considered less environmentally friendly.

The creators of TONIUM plan to improve their platform regardless of the contest results and set an ambitious goal for themselves: to become one of the top 20 NFT-platforms in the next two years. To implement their plans, they negotiate with representatives of the game industry, young artists, offering a platform for their NFT-projects.

Registration for TONIUM implies ownership of the ExtraTON wallet, and all NFTs will be initially stored in the wallet, the platform does not have access to them. Wallet keys are used to sign transactions on the platform.

The price for storing NFT tokens in IPFS storage is calculated based on their file size.

The developers have made provision for the possibility of further sale of NFT-kits in parts.

According to the terms for receiving the reward, the top three winners must complete their platforms within a month after the contest. Does this mean that crystal owners will be able to register their NFTs on them any time soon? It is also possible that teams in lower places will complete their ideas and users will prefer them.
