Augur is a decentralized betting exchange for various events, built on the Ethereum platform. Allows any user to create their own event or place a bet, accept bets and earn on any outcome. It positions itself as an exchange with a minimal fee (about 1%) and no restrictions.
Jack Peterson and Joseph Krug created the exchange project in 2014. A crowdfunding campaign was opened for its full development. The exchange has its own cryptocurrency REP and REPv2, which is used to regulate and provide market disputes.
